I have yet to understand why it is expected and considered "necessary & normal" for a mother to keep her child with her until they turn the magical age of 5 and then all the sudden it is "expected, necessary & normal" for that same child to be torn from her side and expected to spend half their day with a "stranger" among other children who may or may not share my families value system. Amazing. My children are going to be gone from my home soon enough.
