Dress Up

The theme for kindergarten one day was "kings and queens". ("Pussy Cat, Pussy Cat", Ole King Cole", etc.) The girls dressed up for it. I think they should have switched dresses.

Horses have to dress up too sometimes.

Fine Arts Showcase

The Fine Arts Showcase was November 16. It was rather a hectic evening. All my children and all my students performed. Also, Eliza, Nancy Thorn and I did a six-hand piece on the piano. I had planned on Paul David doing something with us, but he left town. I thought maybe I could teach Rachel Neiswonger the part, but she quit and sent Chloe in her place. So Eliza asked Nancy if she would like to join us, and she was excited to do so. It turned out OK. It was at the Firm Foundation Ministry in Ravenna where Hornyaks go to church. They don't have a piano just keyboards. The one that had the piano sound was too short for six hands so we played on the top one that had a really weird sound. One of Gay's older girls said it sounded like something from the Adams Family. The most disconcerting thing was that the stand was wobbly (stable but wobbly). So with three people pounding on it, it was rocking back and forth quite a bit.

This is Kendrick playing "Ode to Joy".

The girls singing "He's Still Working on Me".

Krista playing "Sing, Bird, Sing".
