1) What I was doing 10 years ago...

Mark's dad had just had a major stroke hovering between life and death. (More death than life.)
We were expecting our first child. She was breach and they were talking Caesarean.
Thankfully, Dad pulled through. I had a successful version and have a beautiful almost 10 year old daughter.

More Easter Pictures

Here are a couple of pics of my girls with friends on Easter Sunday.

A few days ago in Kara's school lesson, she was asked, "Why do you go to church?" Her response? "To see my friends!" She does get more out of church than that because she can tell about the stories and songs; however, friends seem to be a priority right now. I agree, though, that church is a great place to make friends.

Animal Park

The kids and I went with some friends to a small animal park. They had an eight-week old cub that you could get your picture with. As you can see the kids really enjoyed that.

The Seamstress

My mom had a couple of boxes of scrap fabric she was wanting to find a new home for. Krista took most of what she had, and I let her have at it. She has been taking sewing lessons for a few weeks. This is what she came up with.

She cut, sewed and stuffed this all by herself. The only thing I did was ironed it. (Because I haven't taught her to use the iron yet.) She thought this fabric reminded her of the story of the disciples fishing all night and not catching any fish until Jesus came along and told them to cast their nets on the other side.

She did a very nice job and gave it as a gift to a friend.
